Squaw Valley

Olympic Valley (commonly known as Squaw Valley) surrounded by five peaks with Squaw Creek meandering through the valley is home to Squaw Valley Ski Resort, Resort at Squaw Creek, numerous condominium complexes, resort hotels, restaurants, shopping, bike trail, playground/park and over 500 single family residences. Not generally known, Squaw Valley’s official name is “Olympic Valley.” A town near Sequoia National Park owns the name “Squaw Valley.” Good information when using Siri.

Squaw Valley Ski Resort recently joined forces with neighboring Alpine Meadows, bringing the two ski resorts under common ownership. Skiers and riders can now access 6,000 skiable acres, 43 lifts and 270+ trails at Squaw and Alpine Meadows on the same pass or daily ticket.
